People want answers on CoL, not Presidential commentary on arrests - Namal
Sri Lanka, June 29 -- SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa said the public was not looking to the President for a commentary on arrests and investigations, but for answers to the worsening cost of living (CoL) affecting families across the country.
In a statement, Rajapaksa said the President must stop using Parliament to predict arrests, investigations and judgements "as if he is running the Police, the CID and the Courts from one desk," arguing that such remarks were not what the public expected from the Head of State.
"What the people want to know is simple: what is the Government's solution to the rising cost of living?" he asked.
