Sri Lanka, April 10 -- The state of public emergency has been extended this time to ensure uninterrupted provision of essential services amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The implementation of the emergency has been extended to better manage the resulting problems, Deputy Defence Minister Major General (Retd.) Aruna Jayasekara said in Parliament yesterday (9).
