Sri Lanka, Oct. 7 -- Energy, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilaka told Parliament that the Ministry Secretary has already informed the relevant private fuel distribution companies regarding maintaining minimum oil stocks in the country and that action will be taken accordingly in the future.
Responding to questions raised by SJB MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha in the House yesterday (06) over the fuel shortage and queues formed at sheds in the country as a result of private fuel distribution companies not supplying adequate fuel stocks, he said that due to the fuel prices in the global market having risen sharply recently, particularly due to the war in the Middle East, private fuel distribution companies in the country state ...
