Sri Lanka, April 2 -- According to the results of the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination released yesterday, 62.64 percent or 176,527 candidates have qualified for university entrance, Examinations Commissioner General Subhashini Liyanage said.

The Examination, which originally commenced on November 10, 2025, faced a major setback due to Cyclone Ditwah, forcing a suspension of proceedings on November 27. Following efforts to secure question papers and answer scripts, the remaining exams were successfully conducted from January 12, 2026, and practical tests were concluded by March 16.
