Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- More than 400 people sought hospital treatment after suffering eye complications following the participation in a festival at a Kovil in Piranpattu area of Jaffna.

The festival was held featuring heavy use of firecrackers and ultra-high-intensity artificial lighting. Attendees began seeking medical attention after experiencing severe burning sensations in their eyes and blurred vision.
