SriLanka, Aug. 22 -- The Government has made plans to add new train sets to avert the sudden breakage of old train carriages and engines that are malfunctioning.The procurement process is going on and money will be allocated next year to bring five new train sets, Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Dr. Prasanna Gunasena told Parliament.

He said that the poor condition of the engine caused the breakdown of the Colombo - Kankesanthurai (KKS) train on Thursday (20).
