In a positive sign for Sri Lanka's economic stability, the country's official reserves have crossed the US$ 7 billion mark for the first time since August 2020, Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe said.
The Governor expressed confidence that the country's official foreign reserves will exceed US$ 8 billion by the end of this year.
According to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the country's official reserve assets have increased to US$ 7.284 billion by the end of February 2026.
This is a significant achievement in the country's foreign exchange reserve management.
