Sri Lanka, April 6 -- The Railway Department said that train services on the Northern Railway Line, which was damaged by Cyclone Ditwah, from Colombo Fort to Kankesanturai will fully resume from April 9.

The Department has issued a statement noting that the trains will operate as the renovation work on the railway line has been completed.

Accordingly, from yesterday (05) at 05.15 am, seat reservation facilities have been provided on the train running from Mount Lavinia Railway Station to Kankesanturai and on the intercity express train running from Kankesanturai to Mount Lavinia at 01.50 pm.
