Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe told Parliament that there is no LP Gas shortage as alleged by the Opposition, but a difficult situation has been created by the Laugfs Gas Company by delaying its supply that has caused panic buying by consumers.

The Minister said that due to Laugfs Gas stopping their supply for several days, consumers have opted to shift to Litro Gas as well as Litro Gas customers also being tempted to purchase gas due to the fear of a gas shortage which has resulted in a shortage of Litro Gas as well.
