Nilakshika, Chamari heroics steer Sri Lanka to victory
SriLanka, Sept. 4 -- Nilakshika Silva struck a fighting half-century off 35 balls before skipper Chamari Athapaththu returned record bowling figures of 7 for 5 to guide Sri Lanka to a 75-run victory over Indonesia in their Women's Asia Cup T20 fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Invited to bat first, Sri Lanka were in trouble at 62 for 6 after 12.3 overs. Their top order struggled against an inexperienced Indonesian attack, with the prized wicket of skipper Athapaththu falling for 9 off 13 balls to fast bowler Wesika Dewi in the seventh over.
