Sri Lanka, June 19 -- Sri Lanka welcomes responsible international partnerships that bring investment, technology, expertise, innovation and long-term commitment, Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development told the Mineral Sands Technical Conference 2026, participating as the chief guest on Wednesday (17).

He said the government recognised that responsible investment requires transparency, policy consistency, efficient administration and good governance. Accordingly, the new policy further strengthens governance frameworks, institutional coordination and investor-friendly regulatory mechanisms.
