SriLanka, Oct. 31 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed retired Judge Vijith Malalgoda as the new Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL).Sri Lanka travel

The other members appointed to the Commission are S.Y.M.Gomes, A.L.A.Azeez, Dr S.S.S.B.D.H. Jayawardena and Prof.T.Jayasingam.

The letters of appointment were presented to them by Secretary to the President Dr.Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (30).

The appointments have been made to fill the vacancies arising from the completion of the terms of office of the previous members of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka.
