New Cath Lab and advanced patient care facilities at Kalubowila Hospital will strengthen healthcare network
Sri Lanka, June 29 -- Several advanced patient care facilities, including the newly established cardiac catheterisation laboratory at the South Colombo Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila, will be opened for public use on June 30.
The facilities have been established under a new programme implemented on the instructions of Health and Mass Media Minister Dr Nalinda Jayatissa to improve the efficiency of diagnostic and treatment services in Sri Lanka's health care system. Jayatissa will be at the opening.
Hospital Director Dr.Sagari Kiriwandeniya said the facilities that will be opened for public use will be the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, or Cath Lab, Digital Subtraction Angiography, or DSA Unit and the Lithotripsy Unit which is used...
