Sri Lanka, June 1 -- The Karaka Sangha Sabha, led by the Most Ven.Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera of the Malwatte Chapter, has decided to suspend the post of Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwarakalaviya, which had been conferred upon the Atamasthanadhipathi, Venerable Pallegama Hemarathana Thera.

This suspension will remain in effect until the conclusion of Court proceedings and a final verdict regarding the allegations leveled against him.

The Karaka Maha Sangha Sabha of the Malwatte Chapter reached this decision during a meeting held on Saturday (30th).
