Sri Lanka, June 1 -- The Neurology Institute at the National Hospital will be vested with the public today.

This reconstruction project at a cost of Rs. 99 million aims to expand and improve the efficiency of neurological care in Sri Lanka.

The newly upgraded facility includes separate male and female wards, with 22 patient beds allocated for each ward. Wards 62 and 63 of the Neurology Unit will also be officially opened today.

Following the opening of these wards, Neurology Units 3 and 4 which are currently housed in a century-old building at Ward 16 will be relocated.

This move will allow the units to operate with better facilities, less crowding, and enhanced comfort for both patients and medical staff.
