Sri Lanka, June 12 -- The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued landslide early warnings for four districts, citing prevailing heavy rainfall across the country.

The NBRO said the warnings will be in effect for a 24-hour period, from 4:00 a.m. today (12) until 4:00 a.m. tomorrow (13).

Accordingly, Level 1 "Remain Vigilant" (Yellow Warning) alerts have been issued for residents in several Divisional Secretariat Divisions in Kalutara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura districts.

In Kalutara District, the warning applies to the Palindanuwara Divisional Secretariat Division. In Kandy District, Doluwa has been placed under alert.

Meanwhile, in Nuwara Eliya District, the Ambagamuwa Division is affected.
