Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has extended its landslide warnings for several districts across the island as heavy rains continue. The updated advisory is effective from 8:30 AM today (February 24) until 8:30 AM tomorrow (February 25).

A Level 1 (Yellow) "Be Alert" warning has been issued for the following areas in the below districts:

Badulla: Haldummulla

Galle: Niyagama

Kandy: Udadumbara, Ganga Ihala Korale, Pathadumbara, Doluwa, Yatinuwara, and Medadumbara

Kegalle: Kegalle, Aranayake, Dehiowita, Yatiyanthota, and Mawanella

Matale: Ambanganga Korale, Ukuwela, Raththota, Wilgamuwa, and Laggala Pallegama

Moneragala: Badalkumbura

Nuwara Eliya: Nildandahinna, Walapane, and Ambagamuwa
