Navy's search, rescue mission saves lives at sea
Sri Lanka, June 24 -- The Navy rendered assistance to a one-day fishing trawler that had failed to return to its intended destination on Monday (22), in a swift search and rescue (SAR) operation.
The fishing trawler and its two crew members had run into trouble due to adverse weather conditions off the North coast of the country. The rescue mission was launched immediately following an alert from the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department regarding the overdue trawler.
