Sri Lanka, March 31 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated yesterday (30) that the national security once achieved has been compromised, and the country has faced five tragedies over the past seven years. He made these remarks while attending a ceremony at the Sri Jayewardenepura Jayasekararamaya Vihara to honour Most Venerable Rajawatte Wappa Thera, who was conferred the 'Aggamaha Saddhammajothika Dhaja' title by Myanmar.
Premadasa observed that national security has been lost in various aspects, citing events ranging from the Easter Sunday attacks to the current conflict in the Middle East.
