Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- The National Botanic Gardens Department stated that the income from botanical gardens exceeded Rs 1 billion in 2025 as well.
The Department stated that Sri Lanka's botanical gardens also reported a significant increase in revenue that year, and predicts that this is due to the increase in the number of tourists visiting the country and the growth of the tourism sector.
The Department pointed out that despite the impact of Cyclone Ditwah in 2025, the income generated from botanical attractions gardens exceeded Rs. 1 billion in that year, and it was reported as Rs. 1.394 billion.
