Srilanka, March 12 -- The Deputy Minister of Defence, Aruna Jayasekara, confirmed that a large stock of 'Ice' (crystal meth) and heroin, brought to the Dikowita Fishing Harbor, is estimated to be worth Rs. 10 billion.

The narcotics were recovered from two vessels recently taken into custody by the Navy, which were brought to the harbor today (12).

Earlier, five suspects were arrested aboard one of the vessels while navigating the southern seas with the illegal cargo. In addition to the narcotics, approximately 11 firearms were recovered during the operation
