Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organiser, MP Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) yesterday (4), has been remanded until September 18 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

He was arrested after appearing before the CIABOC in the morning yesterday (4) to provide a statement after having been summoned by the Commission to record a statement.

The CIABOC arrested him after recording a statement for more than five hours and later produced him before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
