Srilanka, Aug. 1 -- Opposition Parliamentarians Mujibur Rahman and Ajith Perera visited the Commission of Inquiry into the coal importation corruption on Thursday (30), handing over written and verbal evidence at the commission's request.

Rahman said they submitted all evidence in their possession, claiming that the conduct of the former Minister and Secretary during coal imports had cost the country a huge sum of public money.

He said the commission questioned them on several matters, and they responded with the evidence available to them, adding that they remained ready to appear again if called.
