Sri Lanka, July 21 -- It has been revealed during inspections that the highest number of premises with dengue vector mosquito larvae was found in schools, health authorities said yesterday.

National Dengue Control Unit Acting Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara stated that mosquito-breeding sites have also been identified in public places, including factories and Government institutions.

Meanwhile, National Dengue Control Programme Community Specialist Dr. Prashila Samaraweera stated that whether there will be a further increase in dengue patients can only be determined over the next two weeks. She added that the number of dengue patients during the next two weeks will depend on the increase or decrease in rainfall.
