Sri Lanka, July 14 -- The Health and Mass Media Ministry has taken steps to implement a special programme titled "Mobile Units: Reaching the Unreached within the Community Neighbourhood" to provide services to hard-to-reach groups in the community for the detection of sexually transmitted diseases, including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV/STI) and Hepatitis.

A special press conference about the programme on how to identify patients with sexually transmitted diseases to minimise its spread in the country, was held yesterday (13) at the Ministry's main auditorium.
