Sri Lanka, June 4 -- The Health Ministry has issued a gazette to recruit 3,000 student nurses as part of a plan to add 13,600 personnel to the nursing service from 2025 to 2029.
The recruitment is open to students who passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in the science or mathematics streams in 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024.
Eligible applicants can submit applications through the official website of the Health and Mass Media Ministry, www.health.gov.lk, from May 29 to June 30.
The Ministry said qualified applicants will be selected after interviews. Training for the selected student nurses is expected to begin later this year.
