Sri Lanka, March 19 -- Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody revealed in Parliament the current status of the country's fuel supplies, outlining the durations for which current fuel stocks are expected to last under normal consumption levels.

He disclosed that presently Diesel for the period up to April 12, Super Diesel for the period up to May 10, 92 Octane petrol for the period up to April 23, and 95 Octane petrol for the period up to May 10 are available in stock. He said that these stocks include fuel stocks confirmed by the suppliers that are yet to be received. The Minister stated that a special committee has been appointed for emergency fuel procurement activities.
