Minister commends officials, institutions that helped SL earn WHO recognition
Sri Lanka, June 3 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has commended the officials and institutions that contributed to Sri Lanka receiving global recognition in the health sector.
At the 79th World Health Assembly, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 16 to 22, the World Health Organisation recognised Sri Lanka's progress in maintaining the validation of the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis as a public health problem.
