SriLanka, Sept. 28 -- A total of 104 newly introduced Metro buses are scheduled to commence operations on seven routes in the Western Province from tomorrow (29), with the aim of easing traffic congestion in Colombo and providing a more comfortable and safer public transport service.

The new bus service will be inaugurated under the patronage of the President, while Metro Bus Chairman S.M.U.P. Thilakarathne said all arrangements have been finalized for the commencement of operations.

The buses will operate on seven routes centred around Colombo, according to fixed routes and schedules.
