Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- The government is taking steps to expand the Metro Bus Service operating in Colombo's suburban areas, with plans to deploy all 121 existing metro buses, Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake said.Travel Guides & Travelogues

The Minister noted that the initial service launched with ten buses has already made a significant public impact and can no longer be viewed merely as a pilot project. Cabinet approval has also been granted to introduce the Metro Bus Service to Galle, Kandy and Jaffna starting next year.
