Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- A specialised Media capacity-building programme aimed at enhancing Environmental reporting in Sri Lanka was launched on Friday (2) at the Pegasus Hotel.

The initiative was jointly implemented by Expertise France, Canal France International (CFI), and the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), under the auspices of the Ministry of Mass Media and funded by the European Union (EU).

The core objective of the Programme is to increase public awareness regarding the country's Green transition by moving beyond standard coverage of natural disasters, such as floods and droughts, toward evidence-based, investigative, and solutions-oriented reporting.
