Sri Lanka, July 25 -- Sri Lanka has suffered a financial loss of US$ 6.873 Mn due to the import of substandard organic fertiliser from China in 2021 and the Auditor General's Department has recommended that a case be filed against the parties involved in this incident and the financial loss be recovered from them, Agriculture and Livestock Deputy Minister Namal Karunaratne told Parliament.

He stated this while responding to questions raised by Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Badulla District MP Chaminda Wijesiri in Parliament yesterday (24).
