Sri Lanka, April 22 -- The Government is planning to further expand digital services at local authorities with the aim of transforming traditional council processes into online, user-friendly platforms to improve efficiency and user experience.
The Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government Ministry has already taken steps to digitise all 341 Local Government authorities to some extent.
A discussion focused on expanding and accelerating this programme and making these facilities error-free, convenient, fast, and cost-effective for the public was held yesterday at the Provincial Councils and Local Government Deputy Minister's office in Colombo.
