SriLanka, Sept. 10 -- The fight against money laundering, terrorist financing and related financial crime is no longer a battle confined to banks, financial institutions, law enforcement agencies and regulators alone, retired Supreme Court Judge Justice Buwaneka Aluwihare said.

Addressing the inaugural National Anti-Money Laundering Symposium organised by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka on Tuesday (8), he said:"A lawyer cannot knowingly permit his or her professional service to become an instrument through which the proceeds of crime are concealed, moved, converted or legitimised," Justice Aluwihare said.
