Late stand keeps Sri Lanka Emerging slightly ahead against Windies
Sri Lanka, June 11 -- Anjala Bandara and Pulindu Perera struck unbeaten half-centuries to share an unbroken 82-run stand for the sixth wicket as Sri Lanka Emerging finished day three of the four-day match against West Indies Emerging at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium with a 148-run lead.
West Indies Emerging captain Rivaldo Clarke struck a superb 127 to help his side to 381 all out, earning a 25-run first-innings lead. Leg-spinner Shakthi Udara was the standout bowler for Sri Lanka Emerging, taking 6 for 102 in 36.4 overs.
Sri Lanka Emerging once again struggled to get a solid start in the second innings, with the West Indies bowlers applying early pressure. They were 91 for 5 at stumps.
