Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- In a historic milestone for Youth Entrepreneurship and International Representation, Sri Lankan student Deshabhi Weerawardane has officially assumed duties as the new President of Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe).

The inauguration and handover ceremony took place on July 13, 2026, at the European Parliament in Brussels, marking the commencement of his Leadership tenure at the helm of one of Europe's premier student-led enterprise networks.

The prestigious event was graced by the presence of the Sri Lankan Ambassador, along with distinguished members of the Diplomatic corps, European Union representatives, and student Ddelegates from across the continent.
