SriLanka, Sept. 29 -- Sri Lankan players won seven of the eight first-round matches listed for the ATF Under-14 Colombo Week 2 tournament which began at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo yesterday.

Yonal Dankumbura and Muhammed Thariq both claimed 6-0, 6-0 wins in the boys' draw.

Dankumbura beat Hong Kong's Yui Hang Woo, while Thariq defeated another Hong Kong player, Ethan Kan. Nilesh Bandara added a 6-2, 6-2 win over Hong Kong's Milo Law.

Dihela Bandara faced a tougher test against Malaysia's Yu Hao Soh. He lost the second set but recovered to win 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. In the girls' draw, Sethuli Muthugama beat India's Anandita Sarker 6-2, 6-2. Savinma Amarasinghe defeated fellow Sri Lankan Adheena Kaleel 6-0, 6-2, while Ta...
