Sri Lanka, May 13 -- A landslide has been reported in the Maha Aragama Ulkanda area under the Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat due to continuous adverse weather conditions.
According to reports, a large section of the Ulkanda slope gave way, sending soil, debris, and several uprooted trees sliding down from the upper terrain.
Considerable ground movement and visible damage have been observed in the area, with displaced earth and fallen trees scattered across the lower slopes.
Authorities are also expected to conduct further inspections to determine the full extent of the damage and evaluate potential risks to nearby communities.
