Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- The National Building Research Organisation has issued landslide early warnings for several areas in seven districts, with the warnings valid until 10.00 p.m. today (22).

Amber-level (Level 2) warnings have been issued for selected areas in the Ratnapura, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

In the Ratnapura District, the warning covers Elapatha, Kuruwita and Ratnapura. In the Kandy District, it applies to Udapalatha, Medadumbara and Kundasale. Ambagamuwa and Norwood in the Nuwara Eliya District are also under the Amber-level warning.

Meanwhile, Yellow-level (Level 1) warnings have been issued for selected areas in the Badulla, Kandy, Kegalle, Monaragala, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya and Kurunegala districts.
