Sri Lanka, May 15 -- The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) says landslide early warnings issued across several parts of the country remain in effect due to continued adverse weather conditions.

The warnings, issued at 10.00 p.m. yesterday (14), are valid until 10.00 p.m. today (15 May 2026).

Under the Level 2 "Watch" (Amber) category, residents in several areas have been advised to remain alert and be prepared to move to safer locations if heavy rainfall continues.

The Level 2 warning has been issued for Seethawaka in the Colombo District; Neluwa in the Galle District; Agalawatta, Matugama, Horana, Walallawita and Palindanuwara in the Kalutara District; Ganga Ihala Korale, Deltota, Pasbage Korale, Gangawata Korale, Pathahe...
