Kopay Police Station relocated
Srilanka, June 15 -- The new Kopay Police Station (Jaffna district) was declared open yesterday (14), marking the completion of the Police department's relocation from privately-owned lands and houses that had housed the station for nearly three decades.
Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananda Wijepala was the Chief Guest.
IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya, Northern Province Governor N. Vethanayahan, NPP Parliamentarians K. Ilankumaran, S. Bhavanandarajah and Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy, Jaffna District Secretary M. Piiratheeban, Police officers and several other officials attended the event.
