Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- The Department of Railways has announced a temporary road closure at the main railway crossing near the Kiriwandala station on the Highlevel Road.

The closure is scheduled from March 5 to March 8 to facilitate essential maintenance work on the Kelani Valley Line (Mile 35, Chain 30) between Puwakpitiya and Avissawella.

Motorists and commuters using the High-Level Road are advised to use alternative routes during this period to avoid delays.

The Department regrets the inconvenience caused by these necessary track improvements.
