June 30 deadline for asset, liabilities declaration
Sri Lanka, June 16 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) stated that individuals who are bound to declare their assets and liabilities must submit their annual declarations of assets and liabilities before June 30. CIABOC Director General Ranga Dissanayake emphasised that anyone who fails to submit their assets and liabilities declarations before that date will be subject to a fine.
The Director General noted that under Section 80(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023, individuals who are bound to declare their assets and liabilities must do so by June 30 of the relevant year.
