Sri Lanka, April 28 -- The Joint Opposition has lodged a complaint with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for an investigation into alleged corruption linked to diesel imports carried out by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.Bilateral Trade Consulting
The complaint alleges that the State suffered a significant financial loss as a result of the transaction.
The Joint Opposition has urged the Commission to seek clarifications from the relevant authorities, examine all related documents, and conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether a large-scale loss or fraudulent activity has occurred. They further requested that appropriate legal action be taken against any individuals found responsible.
