Sri Lanka, June 18 -- Mass Media Deputy Minister Dr. Kaushalya Ariyarathne stated that job security must be maintained to enhance the quality of employees in an organisation.

She made these remarks while participating in an event to award permanent appointments to 66 employees who had been working on a contract basis at Lake House (Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited).

The appointment letter presentation ceremony was held yesterday (17) at the Mass Media Ministry for employees who had remained on a contract basis for 3 to 19 years without being made permanent.
