Japan offers fresh opportunity to boost tourism revenue
Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Sri Lanka's tourism industry has received a fresh boost from the Japanese market with 200 Japanese tourists travelling to the island on a single direct flight, highlighting the considerable economic potential that could be generated by expanding arrivals from Japan.
The group, organised by the Little Japan Group, departed from Narita International Airport for Sri Lanka today on SriLankan Airlines Flight UL455. The visit is being viewed as an encouraging development in Sri Lanka-Japan tourism relations and demonstrates the potential for attracting larger organised tourist groups from Japan.
