Sri Lanka, June 12 -- Six refrigerated trucks from the Government of Japan to the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation will strengthen the fisheries cold chain and reduce post-harvest losses, preserve product quality, and enhance the efficiency of fisheries distribution networks.

The Japanese Ambassador Akio Isomata handed over the trucks on June 10 to Ceylon Fisheries Corporation (CFC) Chairman Mohammad Nowras Nasar.

The trucks will be operated by the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation (CFC) to transport marine products from the Northern and Eastern Provinces to Colombo.
