Sri Lanka, June 3 -- In response to concerns over a recent incident during Vesak celebrations at the Jaffna University's Management Studies Faculty Commerce Students' Union in a statement condemned the damage of a festive lantern by a few individuals while supporting swift disciplinary action against the perpetrators.

The joint student leadership firmly rejected attempts by outside elements to generalise the incident or use it to divide the student body along ethnic lines, emphasising a continued commitment to campus harmony and mutual respect.
