Sri Lanka, May 2 -- The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) marked International Workers' Day on May 1 with rallies held across multiple fronts in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.

In the North, a main rally was organised at Mankulam in Kilinochchi, led by the party's Acting President C.V.K.Sivagnanam and President's Counsel M.A.Sumanthiran.

Separately, another May Day gathering in the North was convened at Green Park in Kilinochchi under the leadership of MP Sivagnanam Sritharan.

In the East, a rally was held in Batticaloa, headed by MP Rasamanickam Shanakiyan.The rallies reflected the party's May Day mobilisation across regions, with participation from party members, supporters and public.
