Sri Lanka, June 23 -- To commemorate World Environment Day, INSEE Lanka partnered with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to launch a coastal protection initiative.

The project is part of the Coast Guard's ambitious target of planting 10,000 Mudilla and Mangrove trees annually. INSEE's involvement highlights the company's long term commitment to restore and safeguard Sri Lanka's coastal ecosystemswhile recognising the scale and urgency of building climate resilience and promotingcarbon sequestration.

The project commenced with the planting of one hundred Mudilla trees on June 5, at Panadura beach near the Coast Guard lifesaving post, marking the first step towards the annual target.
